What do fans want from a festival these days? And what makes the difference between ticket buyers choosing to keep couch surfing, or getting out of the house and into a field or venue?
From the impact of building bills and spaces that translate for social media, to ongoing shifts in lifestyle choices, fighting for attention with big summer shows and more traditional formats struggling, this session will discuss what festivals need to do to keep pace and ahead?
It takes place on Thursday 26 Sept. at 10:00 at the Novotel. Chaired by Oscar Kriek, Director of Partnerships at Ticketswap, the speakers will share some of their research on festival audiences followed by an interactive dsicussion:
- Ella McWilliam, Co-founder of Full Fat (UK)
- Emily Anatole, Senior Director of Cultural Insights, at UTA (USA)
- Mika Christoffersen, Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Behavior at Roskilde Festival (DK)
