IFF’S Conference Agenda Complete

With 70 days to go until it kicks off, today’s update brings news of the final two conference debates which complete this year’s IFF agenda.

On Wednesday 27 Sept at 10am, The Festival Season 2023 kicks of IFF’s conference agenda, hosted by YOUROPE chair Christof Huber. Just as there’s no shortage of fans committed to their favourite summer festivals, there’s no shortage of topics to discuss in IFF’s big annual round up of the year. From supply chain problems and freak weather, to stiff competition, new events and the steady stream of sale announcements, it’s a critical, catch-all 60 minutes on the sector.

And on Thursday 28 September at 10am, WME’s Andy Duggan chairs The Headliners: Winner takes it all? With more main stages than big names to fill them, and some US artists choosing to remain stateside instead of summer runs in Europe and beyond, crafting the perfect festival bill is no easy feat. The session will discuss the challenge of securing big names, and the impact on the rest of the bill and festivals overall. How collaboratively are booking agent partners working with their events, and should we be expecting major changes to how festivals build their future line ups?

With today’s addition announcement, IFF’s 2023 conference agenda – including a keynote interview with CAA’s Emma Banks & Mike Greek – is now complete (the full schedule is here). All sessions take place on the new IFF Campus which will also house the various artist showcases, IFF’s dinners and lunches both days, and various networking drinks.
