FIRST PANELS CONFIRMED
With two packed days of panel discussions, virtual sessions and keynote interviews at IFF 2021, we’re excited to announce the first round of panels and guest speakers who are lending their expertise and insight to the the first major meeting of the international business in 18 months.
In addition to our superstar European festival promoter keynote interview with Melvin Benn and Folkert Koopmans on the Thursday at IFF, the Wednesday will kick off, for the first time ever, at Camden’s Jazz Café, with The Therapy Session. Hosted by IQ‘s Gordon Masson, this interactive, open discussion will give agents and festivals in the room the chance to share their stories, experiences and learnings to the benefit of all.
We can also announce details of our first round of virtual panel discussions, which will be made available on-demand for all IFF delegates. These discussions will run alongside our in-person panels, which will be filmed and available to watch back on demand for 30 days after the event.
Chairs Claire O’Neill (A Greener Festival (UK)) and Das Fest / Yourope‘s Holger Jan Schmidt (DE) will bring together guest speakers Nika Brunet (MetalDays (SI)), Paradigm Agency‘s Tom Schroeder (UK) and Earth Beat‘s Jerome Williams (NL) for Your Next Headliner: Climate action, which will discuss the big win actions all of us in the festival business can take today to lay the foundations for the long game fight against climate change.
And during Festival Playground – The Future of Music Festivals, Höme – Für Festivals‘ Jannis Burkardt (DE) will share an exclusive presentation that will unpack and analyse the results from the largest European festival consumer survey to date (37,000 fans from over 800 different festivals), which now forms the basis for the Festival Playground, an initiative with works towards a sustainable and innovative festival future.
