We’re excited to reveal the first round of agency showcases at IFF 2023, and who’s performing at The International Showcase. And what a line up…!
This year’s International Showcase takes place at Omeara, on Weds 27 Sept from 8pm. Music From Ireland presents a trio of upcoming Irish talent: Belfast-based Irish noise punk mob Enola Gay who features venomous hip-hop-inspired vocals and unforgiving guitars, Gurriers whose epic melodies, reverberating guitars and vocals bind their songwriting into a mesmerising live tour de force, and 22-year old Lucy McWilliams whose debut single ‘Fair Play’ has amassed over 15 million streams.
Music Finland presents 22-year-old artist, singer and songwriter Joalin, who has been seen on billboards around the world for Spotify’s EQUAL campaign, and The Spanish Wave presents Maika Makovski who has performed on stages as varied as the Barbican in London, the Residenz in Munich, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, the Biennale in Venice and, most recently, Mad Cool Festival in Madrid.
Weds 27 Sept also sees Earth Agency present four artists at Amazing Grace from 8pm: classically-trained, multi-instrumentalist Lawrence Hart who has worked with some of the most exciting names in electronic music; and electronic pop trio LOWES who have racked up over 65 million streams through high-profile collaborative singles. They join Raz & Afla whose music represents a harmonious union of African influences with electronic music, and South London-based alternative UK rap artist Saiming.
As part of IFF’s afternoon agency showcases in Omeara, on Weds afternoon, Solo Agency presents Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bernhoft – the first non-American to be nominated at the Grammys for Best R&B Album – and Nottingham-based alternative all-female trio Girlband.
And also showcasing that day, PlayBook Artists kick off IFF’s daytime showcase schedule with singer and multi-instrumentalist John Francis Flynn, and Lily Lyons who released her debut EP last year, followed by a string of shows in the UK and US.
