Sharing a remarkable 110 years of history between them, both icons of the festival world are in the process of celebrating historic milestones while also seeking to redefine what festivals can be in the 21st century.

Mathieu Jaton from Montreux Jazz Festival and Dany Hassenstein from Paléo Festival Nyon will be discussing the elements that make their festivals unique and ever-popular, touching on their storied histories as well as the more modern innovations. The execs will also discuss the place of Switzerland in the festival ecosystem and the joys and challenges of running festivals in a constantly-shifting live music ecosystem.
